Out in Talmage, a lit up place really stands out. Homes sit back from the road and nights get dark early, so a glowing roofline, a lit ranch gate, or a row of trees along the lane can be seen a long way off. The tough part is hanging it all on a cold ladder, then pulling it down in January.
We handle the whole job. We’ll plan a layout for your roofline, porch, trees, fence, and entrance, then hang everything with clips that don’t damage shingles or gutters. Timers turn lights on and off for you. Because Talmage is far out on our route, we group installs into planned trips in fall and takedowns into trips after the holidays, so booking early matters.
We know Talmage homes sit back on long lanes with gates and barns, so we design displays you can see from the road.
We bring tall ladders, roof safe clips, and outdoor rated cords for rooflines, barns, gate posts, and tree lines.
We'll help you pick where lights make the biggest impact and skip areas that won't be seen from the road.
We pick up every clip bag, cord scrap, and box, and leave your yard and lane as tidy as we found them.
Talmage has been home to ranch families since before it was platted as Winn in 1912, and a lot of places here have a long lane, a gate, and a house set well back from the road. That layout gives you more to work with than a town lot. The roofline is only the start.
Some of the most striking displays we can put together out here focus on the entrance. Wrapped gate posts, a lit arch or crossbar, and lights tracing the fence for a stretch on each side make the place easy to spot on a dark December night. From there, we can light the trees along the lane and finish with the house.
Neighbors and friends driving out for a holiday visit will have no trouble finding the right turn, and it gives the whole family something to look forward to on the drive home each evening.
Ranch buildings make great backdrops. A barn roofline outlined in warm white, a lit wreath on the hay loft door, or lights along a split rail fence all add character you won’t find in town. We plan these with an eye on power, because outbuildings don’t always have outlets where you want them.
Here are a few features that light up well on Talmage properties:
Talmage is near the far end of our route, out where SR-87 bends toward Mountain Home. We don’t make single trips out to hang one set of lights. Instead, we book installs in fall and group them by area so crews can work several properties on the same run.
That’s why early booking helps. Installing in October or early November also means working in milder weather on dry roofs, before snow and ice make ladders risky. Your lights stay dark until whatever date you pick. If you’d like them on for Thanksgiving weekend, we’ll set the timer that way, and if you’d rather wait until December, that works too. Just let us know when you book.
Nailing or stapling lights into shingles and fascia leaves holes that leak and rust. We use clips made for gutters, shingles, and ridge caps so nothing gets punctured. On metal roofs and barns, we use clips designed for metal edges and trim.
Snow can be heavy on rooflines through December. If snow piles up on a roof that has lights, roof snow raking in Talmage takes the weight off eaves and helps keep ice dams from forming, and our crew works carefully around the lights.
A strand going dark or a timer acting up is part of any holiday season. If something stops working, let us know and we’ll plan a fix into our next trip out your way. Wind can be hard on displays at this elevation, so we fasten lights well to start with. Cords running across a yard get staked down, and anything on a fence is tied off at several points so it doesn’t whip around in a gust.
After the holidays, we take everything down, sort it, and label it so next year goes faster. If your display shares a trip with winter plowing, Talmage plowing can keep the lane and yard open so we can reach the house and barn.
If hanging and pulling down lights every year sounds like too much, there’s another option. Permanent roofline lighting mounts in a track along your eaves and runs from your phone. You can set warm white for everyday, red and green in December, and other colors any time you want.
Plenty of owners use both. A permanent system covers the house, and seasonal lights handle the gate, trees, and fences that change from year to year.
We walk your house, gate, barns, and trees with you, check outlets and power, and talk through the look you want.

Crews hang lights with roof safe clips, run cords neatly, and set timers for the hours you choose.
We turn everything on at dusk with you, fix anything that's off, and set a takedown date after the holidays.
