Some concrete simply can’t be saved. Years of freezing, roots, and water running underneath can leave a slab broken into loose pieces, sunk in the middle, or crumbling through. At that point, patching only buys a few months, and the slab keeps getting worse and more dangerous to walk on.
Our concrete removal service takes care of the whole job in Roosevelt and nearby towns. We handle the Blue Stakes call, protect what’s around the work area, break and load the concrete, and haul it away. Need just part of a slab gone? Clean saw cuts keep the rest looking sharp. We’ll also leave the ground shaped and ready for your next project, whether that’s landscaping, gravel, or work by another contractor.
We know Roosevelt's ditch-side lots, shop yards, and rural properties, and we plan removal around what's likely hiding under each slab.
Breakers, saws, loaders, and haul trucks sized to the job let us handle anything from a garden path to a reinforced shop pad.
If part of your slab can still be saved, we'll tell you, so you only pay to remove what actually needs to go.
We haul off every piece of broken concrete, clean up the work area, and leave the site rough graded and safe.
Repair is usually the first thing we look at, because it costs less and disturbs less. But concrete reaches a point where repairs stop holding. These are the signs that tell us a slab is ready to come out:
If your slab checks one or two of those boxes, it’s worth having someone look before spending money on patches that won’t last.
Breaking out concrete often means digging along the edges and pulling base material, so Utah’s Blue Stakes rules apply. Whoever digs has to call 811 at least 3 business days before starting, and no more than 14 calendar days ahead. Once lines are marked, the ticket is good for 21 days. When Basin does the digging, we make that call and plan the schedule around it.
Blue Stakes covers public utility lines like gas, power, and communication. It doesn’t cover private lines, such as sprinkler pipe, buried downspout drains, or a line running out to a shop. We’ll walk the property with you to find those before any equipment shows up.
Around Roosevelt, plenty of properties sit near irrigation ditches and canals, and that’s where Russian olive and tamarisk tend to grow. Their roots spread wide looking for water, and over time they can lift and crack nearby walks and patios. Water seeping from a ditch can also soften the soil under a slab and let it settle unevenly.
When we remove concrete damaged this way, we look at what caused it. Large roots may need to come out along with the slab, and soft, wet soil may need to be dug out and replaced with firmer fill. Handling those issues now keeps whatever goes in next from failing for the same reason.
Residential concrete removal is mostly about control. We size the equipment to fit the space, plan a route in that keeps damage to lawns and landscaping low, and lay down protection where needed. When only part of a slab is coming out, a straight saw cut separates it from the concrete that stays, leaving a clean edge.
Older driveways often have one or two failed panels while the rest are fine. Removing only the bad sections can save money. If those panels dropped because runoff soaks the ground beneath them, grading around the area will move water away and help keep the problem from coming back.
Roosevelt’s economy has long leaned on oilfield work, cattle, and hay, so there’s no shortage of thick concrete in shop yards and equipment buildings. These slabs were built to carry loaded trucks and heavy machinery, and they’re often reinforced with steel. Breaking them out takes heavier equipment, more trucks, and careful planning around your business hours.
For bigger tear-out jobs that include asphalt lots, aprons, or a mix of paving materials, our concrete and asphalt removal team handles the heavy demolition side and keeps the site organized from the first break to the last load.
Once the concrete is out, the soil underneath has usually been covered for years and may be soft, uneven, or poorly drained. We can reshape it so water flows away from your home or building, which is one of the best things you can do for whatever goes in next.
If you’re planning a replacement driveway, driveway prep builds and compacts a solid base so your paving or concrete contractor starts on firm ground. Handling removal and prep in one stretch means fewer trips, less disruption, and a smoother handoff. Basin focuses on working with existing concrete, so that next step belongs to the contractor you choose.
We measure the slab, check thickness and access, look for private lines, and talk through what you want left behind.
You'll get a free quote covering breakout, saw cutting, hauling, and any base removal or grading you request.
After Blue Stakes marks the utilities, we break, load, and haul the concrete while protecting lawns, buildings, and nearby slabs.
We walk the cleared site with you, confirm everything is gone, and review grading or prep for your next project.
