On a Randlett property, the sprinkler system carries most of the load in keeping a yard green through the dry months. A single cracked head or a leaking fitting can brown out a corner of the lawn, flood a bed, or quietly waste water all summer. And when a whole zone stops working, it rarely waits for a convenient week.
Our irrigation fixes start with testing each zone so we can see exactly what’s happening. We repair or replace broken heads, clear clogged nozzles, fix leaking pipe and fittings, adjust spray patterns, and sort out valve and controller problems. For beds and shrubs, we repair and extend drip lines. Once the work is done, we run the system with you so your Randlett yard gets even coverage again.
We know what long runs of pipe, freeze and thaw, and dry summers do to sprinkler systems on Randlett properties.
We carry common heads, nozzles, fittings, and drip parts, plus digging tools for reaching buried lines cleanly.
If a zone needs a simple adjustment instead of new parts, we'll tell you and skip the unneeded work.
Dug areas get backfilled and the sod set back in place, and old parts leave with us when we go.
Randlett is small and spread out, and many properties have more lawn and more line in the ground than a typical town lot. Long runs of pipe, older fittings, and zones that were added piece by piece over the years all give a system more places to fail. We repair sprinkler and drip systems for Randlett homes, rentals, and businesses, from a single broken head to a zone that won’t come on at all. Since our crews plan their trips out to Randlett, we bring common parts along to cut down on return trips.
Winter is hard on irrigation. Water left in pipes, valves, and backflow parts can freeze, expand, and split them. Freeze and thaw cycles move the soil, so heads that sat level in fall end up sunken or tilted by spring. Snow piled along the drive can crush heads near the edges. None of that is visible until the water goes on. A careful startup, where each zone is run and watched, catches cracked fittings and broken heads before they flood a bed or leave a section of lawn dry for weeks.
Your grass and plants often tell you about a sprinkler problem before you see it. Keep an eye out for these signs:
Customers on our lawn mowing route get an extra set of eyes on these clues every week, since the crew sees changes in the grass right away.
Many irrigation repairs mean digging, whether that’s exposing a cracked lateral line or replacing a valve. Utah law requires whoever is digging to contact Blue Stakes at 811 at least 3 business days before the work starts, and no more than 14 calendar days ahead. The marks are good for 21 days, so if a job runs past that, a new ticket is needed. When we’re the ones digging, we make that call. Keep in mind that Blue Stakes marks public utilities, not private lines like your own sprinkler pipe, so we also trace those before cutting in. For longer replacement runs, our trenching crew can open clean, even trenches for new pipe.
Randlett doesn’t have a climate station of its own, so you can’t count on local readings to tell you how dry it’s been. The best guide is the yard itself. We set controllers so each zone runs long enough to soak in deep, then rests, which grows deeper roots than short daily cycles. Early morning watering loses less to sun and wind. We also match nozzles within each zone so one corner isn’t drowning while another stays dry.
As the season changes, the schedule should change with it. Spring and fall need far less water than July, yet a lot of controllers run the same program from start to finish. A quick adjustment at the turn of each season saves water and keeps the lawn from getting soft and shallow rooted.
Sometimes the best repair is a small change. Shrub beds watered by spray heads usually do better on drip, which puts water at the roots and keeps it off leaves and siding. Narrow strips along the driveway that can’t be sprayed without hitting pavement are good candidates for conversion, and our mulch and rock installation crew can turn them into low water beds with the old heads capped or switched to drip.
