Before it was Myton, folks called this place The Bridge or Bridge City, since it had the only bridge across the Duchesne River. It went on to become a busy trading post with hotels, a bank, a flour mill, and a newspaper. These days it’s a quieter river town on US-40 and US-191, with farms stretched along the water.
Myton is dry, averaging about 7 inches of precipitation a year, but river ground and irrigated fields can hold a lot more moisture than the benches above them. Because Myton is a longer drive for our crews, we plan each job carefully up front so the work goes smoothly once we’re there.

Reach out well before your build date. Since Myton is farther out on our route, we line up trips in advance, and Duchesne County’s 30 inch frost depth needs to be in the plan for footings and water lines.
