On a big Maeser lot, the repair list grows in every direction. The house has a door that drags, the barn has a sliding door off its track, the shop has a loose soffit panel flapping in the wind, and the shed roof drips in one corner. None of it is huge on its own, but together it eats up weekends.
Our general repairs service tackles that list in one organized visit. We fix doors and hardware, replace damaged trim and siding, reattach gutters and fascia, patch small roof leaks on outbuildings, repair gates, and handle the odd jobs that fall between the trades. If something needs a specialist, we’ll say so plainly and point you in the right direction, so the rest of your Maeser property keeps moving.
We understand how acreage in Maeser is laid out, with barns, shops, and sheds that all need care beyond the main house.
Our trucks carry the tools and common parts for doors, trim, siding, and gates, so most fixes happen on the first trip.
We'll tell you which repairs matter now and which can wait, so your budget goes where it does the most good.
Scrap trim, old hardware, and offcuts leave with us, and every building we work in gets swept out before we go.
Most Maeser owners aren’t dealing with one building. A typical place might have a house, a detached garage, a barn or loafing shed, a shop, and a couple of storage sheds. Each one wears in its own way, and it’s easy for the outbuildings to slide because they’re out of sight from the kitchen window. We take the whole property as one job, so the barn door gets the same attention as the front door.
That approach also saves trips. Instead of one visit for a gate and another for a soffit, we group everything and work through it in a logical order.
A lot of the newer houses in Maeser were built on ground that was farmed or irrigated for generations. That soil can settle unevenly for years after construction, and the signs show up as repair calls: doors that start rubbing at the top corner, cracks running off the corners of windows, and gaps opening between trim and siding. A small amount of settling is normal, and most of these fixes are simple.
When we see the same pattern in several spots, though, we’ll mention it. Water pooling against the foundation often plays a part, and sometimes the real answer is better drainage solutions around the house rather than shimming doors every year.
Doors on acreage get worked hard. Barn slider rollers wear out and jump the track, man doors on shops swell and stick, and storm doors lose their closers to Ashley Valley wind. Pasture and yard gates sag on their hinges until they drag in the dirt. Most of these are fixable with new hardware, a rehang, or a little bracing, and we carry the common parts so the fix happens on the first visit when possible. When the fence attached to a gate is the real problem, our fence repair service picks up from there.
Strong sun at this elevation dries out wood trim and fades paint fast, especially on south and west walls. Freeze and thaw cycles open joints a little more each winter, letting water in behind siding and trim. Summer heat bakes caulk until it cracks and pulls away. Spring wind tests anything loose, from shingles to soffit panels to shed doors. Catching these problems early is cheap. Waiting until water gets into framing is not.
Outbuildings feel it most. A barn or shed rarely gets the paint and caulk the house does, so gaps around doors and windows open up, siding boards split, and small roof leaks soak into stored hay or tools. A walk-around every spring, after the worst of the wind, catches most of it while the fixes are still small.
A little prep on your end helps us get more done in less time:
We’ll go through the list with you, add anything we spot, and agree on an order before work starts.
Sometimes a quick fix reveals something worth knowing. Rotted trim might mean a gutter has been overflowing in the same spot for years. Peeling paint on a shop wall might trace back to a sprinkler hitting it every morning. We fix what’s on the list and tell you what caused it, so you can decide what to do next. If grime and mildew are hiding the condition of siding or concrete, pressure washing first gives everyone a clearer look at what’s really going on.
