Hanging holiday lights in Vernal usually means climbing icy ladders in freezing temperatures, untangling strands that worked last year, and hoping the wind doesn’t pull everything down. Then you get to do it all again in January when it’s even colder. It’s no wonder so many people skip it or wish they had.
We take care of the whole season. We start with a custom layout for your roofline, trees, walkways, and windows, then install everything with clips made for your gutters and shingles so there’s no damage. We set timers so your lights come on and off on their own and fix any problems that pop up during the season. After the holidays, we take everything down carefully and can store it for next year.
We know Basin winters and install lights to hold up to wind, snow, and cold all season.
Ladders, lifts, and clips made for gutters and shingles, so your roof stays damage-free.
We'll design a display that fits your property and budget and tell you what really looks best.
We clean up after every install and takedown and leave your property just as we found it.
The best displays aren’t the ones with the most lights. They’re the ones that look intentional. Before any holiday light installation, we walk the property with you and sketch out what to light and what to leave dark. Rooflines, peaks, and gables frame the house. Trees and shrubs add depth. Walkways and railings guide guests to the door. A good plan uses each of those on purpose, so the house looks finished from the street instead of patchy.
We also talk through color. Warm white feels classic and clean. Multicolor feels nostalgic and fun. Plenty of people mix the two, with warm white on the house and color in the trees.
Ranch homes with long, low rooflines look great with one clean line along the eaves, plus lit shrubs below to fill in the space. Two-story homes and steep gables are where outlining the peaks really pays off, since those lines show from a long way down the street. Homes on acreage in Naples or Maeser often have big cottonwoods or evergreens that make a great focal point when wrapped from trunk to canopy. In town, smaller lots usually look best with a lit roofline, a couple of wrapped trees, and pathway lights to the front door.
If you have a favorite look from a past year or a photo you love, show us. It’s easier to build from something you already like than to start from scratch.
Each display is custom, so the scope depends on your property and your wish list. The biggest factors are:
The condition of your gutters and fascia matters too. Loose gutters or soft trim don’t hold clips well, and a quick fix through our general repairs service before install helps the whole display sit straight.
For businesses, holiday lighting does real work. A lit storefront on Main Street or Vernal Avenue stands out to evening traffic and shoppers in a way a sign alone doesn’t. Restaurants, offices, and churches use lights to look welcoming on winter evenings that get dark early. HOAs get a lot of mileage from a well-lit entrance and common area, since it sets the tone for the whole neighborhood.
We plan commercial displays around how people actually see the property, whether that’s from a passing car on US-40 or from the parking lot on the way in.
Winter in the Ashley Valley is hard on lights. Wind gusts tug at loose strands, snow piles along gutters, and nights near 10 degrees make plastic brittle and fingers clumsy. Displays here need to be fastened every few inches, not draped or stapled, and strands need to sit where melting snow won’t bury them or slide off with them. That’s a big part of why we like to install in fall, before ladders and roofs get icy.
If snow builds up heavy over the season, roof snow raking takes weight off the roof, and we work carefully around your lights while we do it.
Seasonal lights are a great fit if you love the tradition and want something a little different each year, like new colors, more trees, or a bigger look. If you’d rather skip the install and takedown cycle altogether, permanent property lighting stays along your roofline year round and changes colors from your phone.
Plenty of people combine the two, with permanent lights on the house and seasonal lights on the trees and walkways. Call (801) 669-0512 to start planning this year’s display.
