Lapoint sits right below the Uintas, and that means a real winter followed by a quick turn into spring. Snow mats down last year’s leaves, dead perennials flop over the beds, and wind drives tumbleweeds into every fence corner. When that debris sits too long, it smothers grass, holds moisture against siding, and gives weeds a head start.
We handle all of that with seasonal cleanups built around your property. In spring we clear out what winter left behind and get beds ready to grow. In fall we pull leaves off the lawn, cut back spent plants, and tidy the whole property before the ground freezes. Everything we collect gets loaded up and hauled off, so you aren’t left with piles to deal with later.
We know how Lapoint winters flatten leaves and how spring wind scatters debris, so we plan each cleanup around both.
Blowers, rakes, trimmers, and a trailer let us clear big country yards and haul everything away in a single visit.
If your yard only needs a light pass instead of a full cleanup, we'll say so and quote it that way.
We blow off walks, patios, and drives at the end of the job and never leave stray piles or bags behind.
Lapoint was first called Taft, and it was later renamed for a point of the Uinta Mountains that juts south toward town. Living that close to the mountains shapes the yard work. Winters bring steady cold and snow cover, and the switch to spring can feel sudden. Whatever was left on the ground in October is still there in April, only flatter and wetter.
A good seasonal cleanup clears that leftover material before it causes problems. Matted leaves block light and air from the grass underneath, which leads to thin, yellow patches. Piles against the house hold moisture next to siding and foundations. Dead stalks in beds can shelter pests and make it hard for new growth to push through. Clearing it all out gives your plants a fair start.
We like to start spring work once the ground has firmed up enough to walk on without leaving ruts. Raking a soggy lawn tears out grass by the roots, so timing matters. Once conditions are right, we clear leaves and winter debris from the lawn, cut back the dead tops of perennials and ornamental grasses, and pull out anything that didn’t survive the cold.
Spring is also the best time to check your watering setup, since sprinkler heads are easy to spot while beds are bare. If a head got clipped by a plow or a line split over the winter, our irrigation repair service can get it working again before the lawn starts needing water.
Fall cleanups are about getting the yard ready to sit under snow for months. We blow and rake leaves off the lawn so they don’t smother it, cut back perennials that tend to collapse into a mess, and clear debris away from downspouts and window wells. A final, slightly shorter mow helps keep snow mold from forming in long grass.
Fall is a smart time to refresh tired beds too. A fresh layer of mulch insulates roots against freeze and thaw cycles, and a cleaned out bed takes new material well. Our mulch and rock installation can top off thin beds right after the cleanup wraps up.
Every property is different, but most of our cleanups include a mix of these tasks:
Let us know if there’s something specific you want handled, and we’ll add it to the plan before we start.
Country properties collect debris in places a town lot never would. Wind piles dry weeds against the north side of a shop. Old leaves pack into the gap between a barn and its fence. Cheatgrass dries out along the lane and turns into fuel by midsummer. We include these areas in our seasonal cleanups because they affect both how the property looks and how safe it is.
We also pay attention to lane edges where they meet SR-121 or a county road, since gravel, leaves, and trash tend to build up there after plows go by. Clearing those edges keeps the entrance to your place looking cared for.
Sometimes a cleanup uncovers more than leaves. An old woodpile that has rotted, a broken fence section, scrap from a past project, or a heap of branches from last summer’s trimming can be more than a single trailer load. When that happens, we’ll talk through options with you before going further. For large piles, our debris hauling service can clear everything out in one trip.
